Kaaterskill Autorit (Dutch, Catskill Drive), NY

STARTING POINT FOR SATURDAY DRIVE – 10:00 AM

Walmart Parking lot off FRANK SOTTILE BLVD (south end adjacent to Raymour and Flanigan Outlet)

Our drive will take us from Kingston, south along the route of the old Delaware & Hudson Canal approximately 60 miles to Port Jervis on the Delaware River, where we will follow the river upstream northwest along the New York – Pennsylvania border for approximately 20 miles.  In Barryville, we will veer north 20 miles to Bethel, New York, where we will stop at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, 100 Hurd Road, (site of the Woodstock Music Festival in August 1969), for a box lunch and tour of the Museum and grounds.

Museum Admission:              Ages 19-64 | $16 pp

                                                Ages 65+   | $14 pp

We will leave Bethel Woods after lunch and head east to Monticello and then northeast skirting the Rondout and Ashokan Reservoirs (part of the New York City Water System) to Mt. Tremper, where we will stop at the Emerson Resort Complex, 5340 NYS Route 28 to visit the world’s largest kaleidoscope.

Admission for the Kaleidoscope show is $ 5.00, payable at the door.

We will end the drive with dinner at the Hickory BBQ & Smokehouse, 743 NYS Route 28,

REMINDER
We will begin the drive at 10:00 AM from the south end of the Walmart parking lot at
 
401 FRANK SOTTILE BLVD.
 
We will stop at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts to tour the Museum and have lunch. In order to expedite our visit and receive a discounted price, it is encouraged that you pre-purchase your tickets to the Museum at:
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT BETHEL WOODS IS A “CASH-FREE” VENUE.  All transactions must be made with a credit/debit card or mobile device app.
 
There is a cafe’ at the Museum, however it is encouraged that you pack your own lunch.
