It began in August of 2021 when Luis my husband, had the “Crazy?” idea to propose our tiny Northern New England Chapter host a FreakOut in NH. “What!”
Not, so crazy after all. April, 2022, we submitted a proposal to the FCA board and it was accepted. Here we are 7 months later and registration has opened for FreakOut 40!
We’re riding high on the opening of registration but now it’s time to dig into the details that will ensure all our Fiat friends have a great time in NH.
Luis and I drove to Texas for FreakOut 2022. On our drive home, stimulated and in anticipation of FreakOut 2023 the ideas were flowing back and forth between us. One of those ideas was to have a weekly feature on the building of FreakOut 2023.
For this Feature I’d like to say, any of you who think it’s a crazy idea for your chapter to host a FreakOut, think again. I’m not saying it isn’t a lot of work but I am saying you’re not alone.
Most of us see FCA board members at FreakOuts enjoying the events. We don’t see the many hours of volunteer work they put in supporting the host chapter. Early on we had a meeting with FCA Secretary Tim Beeble from the Northeast Coast Chapter. When he came, he didn’t come alone. Tim brought other members from the Northeast Coast Chapter who all pledged their support. There will be more on this crew in the coming weeks because they are the best of people.
Last but not least for today, Yay! Doug! I sent Doug Von Koenig, FCA President a lot of registration information our chapter had amassed over the 7 months, in multiple emails with multiple additions. As you’re registering thank Doug for putting registration together bringing us another step closer to FreakOut 40!
This is awesome!
Thanks Karen
We are trying to hard to get our schedule cleared so we can attend from Texas. I know the Gulf Coast Fiats group are already putting together a shared 18-wheeler to trailer more Texas cars. Should be fun!
I like the blog idea. Keep it going!
Hi Tazilon,
That’s exciting to hear. We’d love to see all our new Texas friends with their beautiful cars in NH. I’m looking forward to the group Concorso photo with the mountains in the background.
Thanks, Lisa
Hi Taz,
That’s great news! Also, still enjoying your videos!
Jim
Thanks for hosting the 2023 FFO. I’ll be departing of from East Hampton CT with some buddies from Long Island who will take the ferry over to CT. My GF and I will be in the Dino, not sure what they others will decide on – most of them are Alfisti, so they may drive new or old Alfas.
Best regards
Fred
Hi Fred! Can’t wait to see your Dino. Will you be meeting up with Tim?
