We’re very excited about our 29 states, 2 Provinces, 4 Countries and 3 Continents, statistics. We’re hoping all of you, road trippers headed to New Hampshire will have as much fun as Luis and I did, on our road trip to Texas last year. Our chapter have a few fun recognition awards planned for the Thursday Welcome Dinner. You may receive one if you traveled the furthest…
Yes, we will have a map in the registration area, we’d love to have you share your home base and your Road Trip route.
Kathy and Jim Custeau were at the Grand Summit earlier this week finalizing the audio visual for the banquets. On their return home to Maine, they checked out the post Concorso, Evans Notch drive. Evans Notch was still closed but the sign said it was opening May 25th. Let’s hope there are no delays because, they saw a Moose on the open part of the route! It was the same time of day we’ll be going through, post Concorso.
We also have a post Concorso, “Moose” drive that goes further north of the Concorso area. We mapped it per information gathered, there was a high likelihood of seeing Moose in the area BUT we didn’t see any that day.
My suggestion would be to go on the Evans Notch post Concorso drive. It’s shorter, Jim and Kathy saw a moose and you return to the hotel via Hurricane Mountain Rd.
Luis and I are giving the Gimmick Rally route one last check today. I’m reminded of the test Gimmick Rally we ran earlier this year. There was so much snow the signs and overlooks on the Kancamagus were completely covered but everyone still had a fun time. The snow is gone and we finally have leaves on the trees. The views are beautiful. We can’t wait to share it with all of you.
