Building A FreakOut: Monday morning we head for the mountains!

We’ve been packing and packing and packing some more! I think we’ve got everything and I’m happy the Cayanne hauls 7500 pounds because the trailer is very full.

Make sure, you check out the fun merchandise, Candy has purchased for the Club Store. I haven’t opened the boxes but from some of the labels I see, Sweatshirts, Hats, something battery operated… From the number of boxes, I think you’ll have plenty of items to choose from to commemorate FreakOut 40 in the White Mountains.

As part of the Art Show, Valerie Beeble is submitting handmade Fiat mittens. She has created a few pairs; they will be for sale. They are beautiful mittens, excellent for those top-down fall days.

EARLY BIRD BEAR FELTING CLASS. I’m excited to say, we have a lot of members signed up for the Wednesday, Bear Felting class. I will be offering an early bird session on Tuesday evening 7-9 to help breakup the numbers and give members more one on one time. Thanks, in advance for anyone who signed up for Bear Felting and can make the Tuesday evening early bird class. Everything for the classes is packed and ready to go!

To everyone staying at the Attitash Village, you will love it there. I just spoke to Lisa Hikel the reservations manager, they are ready for you and excited you are coming.

ATTITASH VILLAGE, WHISTLE STOP. The Attitash Village is also home the Conway Scenic Railroad Whistle Stop, where we will be boarding the Mountaineer train Tuesday. We will be departing the Grand Summit at 11:40 on Tuesday. Everyone must be at the Whistle Stop platform by 11:50. The train will not wait. Park in the dirt parking lot next to the main Attitash Village building.

ARRIVING BEFORE 2PM WEDNESDAY. Remember if you’re arriving on Wednesday, we’ll be in the Wolfeboro area until 2:00PM. Join us in Wolfeboro, and on our guided drive via 153 (a fun road with lots of twists, turns, ups and downs) back to the Grand Summit.

GIMMICK RALLY. Luis and I checked the course last weekend. Everything looks good to go. We made one change so you won’t have to cross traffic. While you’re packing, remember a pen or pencil so you can write in your answers to the questions and maybe a clipboard to write on.

YAY VOLUNTEERS! This event would not happen without our volunteers. We are fortunate to have a large group and you will see them helping all week long. I’ve been asked to remind volunteers to wear something bright for the Concorso, so members in cars can see you when you are staging the show field.

I can’t believe this is, week 31 of my blog and 4 DAYS to FreakOut! Luis and I leave Monday morning. I hope all of you have excellent Road Trips!

Best wishes for safe travels, Northern New England Chapter. See you in the White Mountains!
